Unable to Scan Barcode in Native App

Users of the Native App who are experiencing difficulties scanning barcodes after updating their iOS may be encountering an issue related to specific iPad models and iOS versions.

Following the update to iPadOS 17.4, certain iPad models have been identified as potentially unable to scan QR codes using either the native Camera app or third-party applications that utilize the camera. The affected models include:

  • iPad (7th Generation)
  • iPad (6th Generation)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd Generation)
  • iPad Pro 10.5-inch

Even with subsequent updates to iOS 17.4.1 or 17.5, reports indicate that barcode scanning issues persist. 

Therefore, it is advisable to avoid updating to iOS version 17.4 or later until Apple provides a comprehensive resolution for this problem.
